Oxford University Undergraduate Law Journal Publication Evening

To celebrate the Publication of our 13th Edition, the OUULJ is honoured to be hosting Lords Briggs and Sales for a dialogue entitled “Guest v Guest and Beyond: Exploring the Relationship between Equity and Common Law”. Their Lordships, moderated by Professor Ben McFarlane, will begin the discussion by sharing their views on proprietary estoppel as laid out in the landmark case Guest v Guest. They will also discuss the relationship between equity and the common law more generally. This will be an exciting event to celebrate undergraduate involvement in legal academia, supported by a welcome address by Professor Donal Nolan, and the presentation of prizes for the OUULJ’s best Public and Private Law Submissions, as well as for the Annual Essay Competition 2024. The Publication Evening will take place in the Gulbenkian Lecture Theatre, Faculty of Law, University of Oxford, from 2:30-4:30pm on Monday on the 10th of June 2024 (8th Week).
