Notes & Changes

This event will be both in person and online (hybrid)

The talk will introduce the research agenda of the Max Planck Institute for the Study of Crime, Security and Law (Germany’s leading body for basic research on criminal and security policy) and provide information on PhD and postdoc funding opportunities. In light of the current work of the MPI’s three departments (criminal law, criminology and public law), this will be of particular interest to those keen on pursuing cutting-edge research in constitutional and wider legal theory, the philosophy of criminal law, law’s responses to social fragmentation and transnational crime, tensions between surveillance and the rule of law, or theoretical and technological innovations in criminological methods.
