Oxplore Festival Law Ambassadors 2025
The Access and Outreach Team at the Faculty of Law are seeking two Law students (either Postgraduate or Undergraduate) to act as Law Ambassadors for the Oxplore Festival taking place on 9th and 10th July 2025 in Bradford. Oxplore Festival is a 2-day outreach event targeted at Year 7 and 8 students (aged 11-13 years old) and aims to make Oxford University more accessible to ‘cold spot’ regions where young people are less likely to apply to the University.
Faculty of Law will be one of multiple departments in attendance with a stand at the exhibition. You will be required to help run an interactive stand, engage with young learners and create a fun learning atmosphere.
The two Ambassadors will work together to create and present the interactive displays. You will design a hands-on activity for the Law stand at the festival, loosely inspired by an Oxplore Big Question, eg. ‘Could we live without laws?’. The Admissions and Outreach Officer is available to assist and give guidance on the subject matter.
Duration and hours
Availability: You will need to be available to travel to Bradford on Tuesday 8th July and stay for 2 nights. You will leave Bradford by 3pm on Thursday 10th July. Oxplore will provide a coach from Oxford to and from Bradford. For those travelling from outside of Oxford, Oxplore will assist with train transportation within reason. All expenses including travel, food and accommodation in a local hotel will be booked and paid for by the Oxplore team.
Working hours: Total expected hours: 20 hours. You will be working up to 8 hours each day on Wednesday 9th July and Thursday 10th July. You will be required to complete safeguarding training and attend a briefing about the festival and its expectations.

Full-time graduate taught students are recommended not to undertake more than 8 hours’ paid work each week during term-time study periods. There are additional rules for students with visas wishing to undertake paid work.
Students may not work for their own supervisor without the approval of the Associate Dean for Graduate Students.
